Story 1 The purpose of story one was to learn the basics of journalism and how to write a news story. My focus on this story was how a retired undercover narcotics officer’s faith and family helped him through his career. I learned how to be ethical while writing a news story and the basics of journalism.
Story 2 The purpose of story two was to learn how to make good captions for pictures and how many photos you would need to get the right ones. The focus of these photos was the Psychology and Neuroscience Professional Panel that was held at Muskingum’s colloquium. I learned that it takes a bunch of photos to have anything that looks halfway decent.
Story 3 The purpose of story three was to learn how to write a feature story during the COVID-19 outbreak. The focus of this story was on an essential worker and how his work environment has changed due to the outbreak of COVID-19. I learned from this experience how to write about a family member without bias and create a feature story.
