About Me

Cat Schultz

As a recent graduate from Muskingum with a major in digital media design, I am a highly motivated and passionate individual seeking a career in graphic design, game design, UX design, or digital media design. I bring a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to the workplace and am always eager to learn and grow in my career. I thrive on feedback and collaboration, working well with others to achieve outstanding results.

My portfolio showcases three years of artwork, illustrations, and graphic designs developed under the guidance of professors at Moore College of Art and Design, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and Muskingum University. I am dedicated to creating captivating digital solutions that meet each client’s unique needs. In early 2020, I had the opportunity to intern with the Muskingum University Alumni Office, where I applied my classroom knowledge in a professional setting and contributed to the creation of materials for the Day of Giving alum event, including postcards. Despite the challenges presented by the COVID pandemic, I embraced the chance to learn and adapt.

In addition to my design skills, I advocate for dyslexia awareness and have actively been involved with Decoding Dyslexia Maryland since the age of 12. Together with the organization, I played a role in the passing of the Ready to Read Act in 2019, which prioritizes early screening and intervention for students with reading difficulties in grades Kindergarten through three.

Growing up as a “Navy brat” in various states, I have developed a unique perspective that I bring to my work. Resilience is one of my key attributes, as demonstrated by completing a challenging 30-day expedition with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) through the Wind River Range in Wyoming. This experience taught me the value of teamwork, utilizing my strengths, and adapting to overcome obstacles.

With my education, skills, and passion for design and creative writing, I am an ideal candidate for an entry-level position in graphic design, game design, UX design, or digital media design. I am excited to join your team, contribute my unique perspective, and be part of your continued success.
